  • Aaaannnd this is why I'm starting to work out again. I've gotta whip my body and eating habits back into shape, because this is not okay lol.

  • Brenda and Tonya, the lovely sisters and creators of Hearth Magazine, have kindly featured one of my photos in their first issue, Volume 1! It's really exciting to be part of this new and absolutely beautiful publication, and I can't wait to work with them again in the near future!

    Thanks ladies!

  • Firecracker roll in soy paper, with extra spicy mayo.

  • Gold goat head magnet via The Original Animal Magnet.

  • I've been doodling a lot recently in this blank card stock notebook Anthony brought home. After a long while of only expressing myself creatively through crochet, it has felt really good to just bring pen to paper again.

  • Carmex.

  • We recently celebrated Riley's 1st birthday! We bought her a "Birthday Cake" flavored Pup-Pie, and had almost as much fun watching her, as she did eating it! I can't believe she's already one year old...I feel like we just got her!

  • A look at some of the foods that occasionally make up my breakfast. Not the healthiest, but hey...

  • I swear she does more than just lounge around lol.

  • I've been working on some new shop items recently and will be putting them up for sale soon! I'm so excited to have completed my second Color Block Blanket (this time in a different color palette)...the likes of which took quite some time to finish!

  • Trader Joe's Butter Almond Thins. So good!

  • Bodum coffee scoop.

  • When I work from home, I sometimes like to document my day with pictures.

  • We've really been having fun with Riley lately, especially now that she's been altered and fully vaccinated, and can now make daily trips to the dog park to play with friends! Obedience training is still in progress, but we've only had her for a month and a half, so I'd say she's learning really fast!

I was able to take these couple pics of her last weekend while she was sitting still (a rare occurrence these days).

  • Nowadays, I am constantly worrying about the welfare of this new life we are now responsible for, and, at the same time, I am trying not to be too overprotective. I've come to realize that having a new puppy is what I envision having a new baby will be like. Exhausting, yet very rewarding.

  • So after having waited it out about a month for the original puppy we were going to rescue to recover from distemper, in the end, she was just too sick for us to bring home (so sad).

Fortunately, we found another little angel at a different shelter who stole our hearts! Meet our new girl, Riley. An adorable, 5 and a half month old poodle mix, with a sweet [and at times, hilariously rambunctious] personality!

We are so happy to have her join our family!
